Terms of Use
Last updated September 30, 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses WBL Central: schools, teachers, administrators, students, and internship supervisors. By signing in or using the service, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
The service
WBL Central is a tool that helps schools record and review internship hours for their work-based learning programs. The school, not WBL Central, decides how hours count toward course credit, graduation, or any other requirement.
Accounts
- Accounts are created by a teacher or administrator, or with a private code: students use a class code from their teacher and teachers use a district code. Only join a class you are enrolled in, and only use a district code for a school where you work. Code sign-ups are approved before they can be used.
- Keep your password private and do not let anyone else use your account.
- Tell your teacher or administrator right away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Schools can deactivate or archive accounts, for example when a student leaves the program.
Honest use
WBL Central only works if the records are true. You agree not to:
- Fake, spoof, or hide your device's location.
- Clock in or out for someone else, or ask someone to do it for you.
- Sign a supervisor signature that is not yours, or sign for a shift you did not supervise.
- Enter hours or corrections you know are false.
- Try to access records you are not allowed to see, interfere with the service, or probe it for security weaknesses without permission.
Breaking these rules may be reported to the school and can lead to hours being voided or accounts being removed. Schools may also apply their own discipline policies.
School responsibilities
Schools and their staff who use WBL Central agree to:
- Create accounts only for students and staff in their program.
- Give students and families any notice, and obtain any consent, that their policies or the law require.
- Review hour records before relying on them for grades, credit, or reporting.
- Tell us when records should be corrected or deleted.
Location checks have limits
Phone location can be inaccurate, especially indoors or in dense areas, and can be affected by device settings. A passed or failed location check is a helpful signal, not proof. Teachers can add or correct shifts when a check fails for a legitimate reason.
School and district agreements
Schools and districts use WBL Central under a written agreement with us, which may include a student data privacy agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement controls for that school or district.
Fees and refunds
Pricing, billing, and any refunds are set in the school's or district's agreement. Students, families, and internship supervisors are never charged.
Ownership
Schools own the records they and their students put into WBL Central. WBL Central owns the software, design, and name. You may not copy or resell the service.
Availability and changes
We work to keep WBL Central available and accurate, but it is provided "as is" and may occasionally be unavailable or contain errors. Schools should keep their own records of anything they are required to retain. We may update features or these terms; when we make significant changes, we will update the date above and notify schools.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, WBL Central is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions a school makes based on hour records. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
